Equality Cup™ & Prizes
Our vision at Parikrma is bridge the huge gap of inequality that exists in the quality of education for those who cannot afford to go to privileged schools. And education at Parikrma is more than just academia and the classroom. Sport, art, music etc. are integral to our education. Sport has been nurtured with great care at Parikrma and it is our constant endeavour to provide opportunities that help close the quality gap even in this area. Hence it made imminent sense to call this trophy the Equality Cup™. At the Parikrma Champions League, elite International Schools, Army and Government Schools, schools from other cities and a non-profit school all vied on the same platform for the Equality Cup™.
Five days of fantastic football at the Parikrma Champions League ended with ASC Boys School lifting the Equality Cup at the Bangalore Football Stadium on Saturday, November 19th, 2011. BhaichungBhutia, a role model for all young sports people, came down just to watch the finals and give away the prizes. Parikrma Champions League, presented by Menzies Aviation in association with the Karnataka State Football Association, revolutionized school-level tournaments by bringing together the best football teams in Bangalore, along with a team each from Goa and Kerala, to compete on the same platform at a world class event. The atmosphere was electric as the 16 teams battled it out on astro-turf.
