Football at Parikrma

Football has established itself as a strong tradition at Parikrma. Over the years Parikrma teams have won several tournaments. Parikrma won the Mir Iqbal Coca Cola Cup in 2008 and was the runners up in 2010. Recently at the 5-a-side tournament held by Greenwood High which featured several of the elite International Schools, Parikrma won the U-12, U-14 and U-16 boys as well as the U-15 girls category. Many children have played for the State. Recently Paoneo, a child in the 11th grade got selected by SAI to be trained for the next few years. He now lives and trains at the SAI complex and attends the Parikrma Junior College at Sahakanaragar. Tong Mang, a highly gifted footballer has now passed his 12th grade and is playing professionally for Indian Bank in the Super League in Chennai.
