VIDYASHAKTI (Preparing teachers of government school to use differentiation in the classroom)
We are thrilled to launch Program Vidya Shakti: Preparing Government School Teachers for Implementing Differentiation within the Classrooms. FICCI FLO is sponsoring the program.
The inaugural session and panel discussion on September 14th will be followed by five training sessions in Differentiation strategies for all 60 participating government teachers at our Education Transformation Centre premises in October.
Differentiation at Parikrma:
In 2005, a team of 40 teachers at Parikrma were trained by Francesca Handel from The Teacher Training Institute in Holland, one of the leading global exponents of classroom differentiation. Since the training,
Parikrma teachers have successfully used differentiation techniques in the classroom.
Parikrma students come from the same backgrounds as their peers in government schools; however, their academic and professional success over the last few years is a testimony to the effectiveness of differentiated teaching strategies in Parikrma schools.
Objectives of the Differentiation Training Program for teachers of Government schools:
Enable: To enable these teachers to understand and address the diverse learning needs of their students.
Empower: To empower them to create inclusive and engaging learning environments that promote the learning and success of ALL students.
